La carrière d’enseignant est choisie régulièrement après un master, ou après une thèse ou un postdoc. Matthieu Quéval nous fera part de sa passion, rappellera les possibilités qui se présentent aujourd’hui avec le CAPES, l’agrégation ou la thèse, et bien sûr reviendra sur les liens entre le métier et les acquis d’un M2 astrophysique. Il est actuellement professeur de physique en classe préparatoire. Cette présentation aura lieu en français, mais des questions en anglais sont tout à fait possibles.
Séminaire – Paule Sonnentrucker
« From the interstellar medium to a role as ESA/HST and ESA/Webb mission manager at STScI«
The title says it almost all! Paule Sonnentrucker started her post-masters’ carreer with explorations of the interstellar medium via Diffuse Interstellar Bands, and she has continued to examine the physical properties of interstellar clouds with a broad variety of empirical tracers. Today she represents ESA at the Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, for the Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope missions. She will present her post-masters’ years and the path towards mission-manager roles, and will also give us news from the space missions that are currently operational and planned, with a view towards possibilities for researchers in the near or not so near future.
