The main topic of this talk are magnetic fields and the transport processes of cosmic ray particles. This is investigated in the three edge-on galaxies NGC 4666, NGC 4013 and NGC 4217 from the CHANG-ES Survey, which was observed at 1.5 GHz and 6 GHz with the JVLA. The polarisation data (with the additional usage of rm-synthesis) revealed the magnetic field structure of NGC 4666 and NGC 4217 to be X-shaped. Magnetic field strength are calculated for all galaxies pixel based via equipartition. Furthermore a thermal/ non-thermal separation was conducted. NGC 4666 is characterised by a box-shaped radio halo which originated from a starformation induced superwind. NGC 4217 shows a dumbell-shaped radio halo, where the main energy loss of the particles is due to synchrotron losses. The 1-D transport model shows that the main transport process for NGC 4666 is advection, for NGC 4217 advection and diffusion and for NGC 4013 diffusion.
