The Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) instrument, located at the VLT, allows the investigation of a wide spectral range across a 1×1 arcmin sky region. In particular, its spectral resolution (1.25 Ångström) makes the search for lyman-alpha emitters (LAE) possible. These faint, distant galaxies may host circum-galactic medium emitting or reflecting lyman-alpha radiations. The purpose of this talk is to present a detection method for lyman-alpha haloes in MUSE datacubes. An insight of the first results on deep fields observation will be presented, as well as perspective on further investigations.
