“Euclid – the first year in space”
After more than a dozen years of development, Euclid has been launched almost a year ago and started its 6 year extragalactic surveys early 2024. I will provide an overview over the mission, its core science, and will show a few of the first public images – as well as touch on the first “legacy” science results that came out of Euclid’s non-cosmology Early Release Observation programme.
