Relativistic effects are generally second order or higher in galaxies and clusters. Here I discuss how modern instrumentation and large data are making such measurements feasible. These measurements would give us a new diagnosis of the gravitational potential in galaxies and clusters, and test assumptions of (an)isotropic velocity distributions and (non-)equilibrium of these systems.
